Dog Mountain and Organic Brewing

We (Ben, Bess, Heather and Macy) hiked Dog Mountain this weekend to see the amazing wild flowers at the top. They certainly did not disappoint. It was very Sound of Music! Jack didn't come along on this trip as he opted to stay in Portland and go to the Farmer's Market with Grandpa. They had a great day together.

On Sunday, Ben brewed his first batch of organic all-grain beer. We're excited to see how it turns out. I'm sure it's delicious, though, since we had such thorough quality control (yes, he's up on his tippy-toes and no, he's not wearing a dress- he just wouldn't let Daddy button his overalls!).

The latest "cute Jack" thing is that he thinks everything is a phone so he puts it up to his ear and talks into it. The other day, I was changing his diaper while he took a call on the butt cream phone!
